President Obama revealed the sinister workings of the latest executive order to rile up Conservative suspicions and leave the Liberal news media yawning. While anglers and commercial fishermen who love the water, feed families and enjoy Nature's best have been in the wings fighting for the protection of their hobbies and livelihoods from an overly-green monster, most of us were surprised by this latest news.
Seems the media only finds it necessary to appraise us of colonoscopies and the latest gossip from Hollywood's red carpet runways. Sadly, the growing rift that spans the distance between Real America and the workings of an Administration which has crowned itself King of America is expanded by a general attitude of media snobbishness. Seems our chief official considers us "dummies" who cannot can be trusted to understand what's going on.
As a lifelong resident of the Lake Erie region, I haven't forgotten the past murmurings of Southern States looking to the fresh-water resources of the Great Lakes, and wondering aloud, "Could we have some of that?" As the State of Ohio and her citizens strongly relayed, the Lake Erie shoreline was considered a State treasure, and one jealously guarded. Tourism provides ample jobs in the Great Lakes region when people have the money to come here to fish. Ohio has some of the best conservation programs in the nation, and Ohioans are proud of their public lands.
Now enter Obama's newest idea to kill jobs here in Ohio, throughout our nation, and even around the world. He's teamed up with, you guessed it, his "Little Green Men from the UN". They're targeting our right to fish on our own shores, and play it out like we don't know how to be responsible stewards over our precious natural resources. Obama plans to stick his finger into regulating our ability to enjoy our wonderful resources here in Ohio, and I can't help but wonder if he's trying to destroy our economy? We're at 13% unemployment here now, and on the crux of a new fishing season.
Obama's already proven that he's a lousy accountant, a lousy businessman, a lousy military advisor and a lousy speaker. Add to that his diplomatic grace DOES NOT EXIST. Personally, I cast lousy when I fish. Excuse me, Mr. President, would you mind standing behind me?

Deadly Fort Hood Shooting Raises Serious Questions About Religion in the Armed Forces
A guy goes on a shooting rampage.--with Muslim affections. Should he have been given better options so as not to force him into an internal ideological battle between his religious beliefs and his military duty? Or would his religious beliefs have eventually culminated in the same act anyway, and this was simply a matter of timing or an uncontrolled melt-down?
Is religion so dangerous, it must be eradicated from the armed forces? Isn't government then demanding a strict compliance with an Atheistic Doctrine? Every chunk of religious freedom pulled out of the arms of the people is forcing Athesim as the only acceptable government-mandated belief system. Religion has received it's fair share of trouncing within the military ranks, and this horrific scenario with religious undertones works like Napalm to spread the anti-religious flame.
If we had recognized the shooter's Muslim affiiations with suspicion in the Fort Hood incident, we would have been guilty of "profiling." If we had insisted he integrate himself into the greater community, we would have been accused of being "intolerant." If we suggested his ideologies presented a danger within the community, we would be deemed ""hypocritical". A concept in need of revisiting, the military chooses well when it utilizes specialists in the war theatre for whom battle would not purposely carve scars.
Imagine an anti-abortionist forced to work in an abortion clinic. She would not be an excited employee, a teachable employee, or a positive employee. She would be miserable, and her work would follow suit. Why would we surmise a member of the military does not also suffer such similar internal dilemmas? We need to peer through the smoke, lingering in this most recent situation, and focus our attention on the smoking gun.
Construe this as a thought in question, and by no means a justification or a defense of the shooter's actions.
Our prayers for the Lord's nearness and comfort for our wounded service personnell, as we grieve with the families of those fine people we've lost, in this time of shock and tears.
